Dear Interested Faculty and Students,

The Jefferson Book Club will meet this Thursday, September 24 to discuss book one of Miguel Cervantes’ Don Quixote. The group will meet upstairs at Caffe Medici on Guadalupe from 5:00 to 6:30.

Thank you very much to all of those who responded to my earlier message this summer with suggestions and interest in participating in our discussions, I really appreciated hearing from you all, and I look forward to a successful year.

The discussion this Thursday will be a great chance to discuss the ideas put forth in last week's lecture, in addition to anything anyone wishes to discuss about the novel, its characters, ideas, or anything else related to it. We intend to focus primarily on book one during the discussion this Thursday, so everyone is encouraged to attend, even if you have not finished the entire novel.
